Fond Remembrance Basic Cremation Package
There are few things in life more traumatic than the death of a loved one. The simplicity, convenience, and privacy of online planning can ease some of the tremendous burden, particularly for those who may have difficulty with transportation and/or mobility. Fond Remembrance provides a direct cremation package for minimal cost which can be arranged within the convenience of your own home, and in your own time, without the necessity of a trip to a funeral home, or the pressure of a sales counselor. All paperwork is completed electronically and over the telephone.

Package Includes:
- Our basic service fee of funeral director, staff, and overhead, including an on-line, phone, or in-home arrangement conference.
- Transportation of your loved one from the place of death within the Orange County, CA area to our secure holding facility.
- Sheltering the decedent in refrigeration (up to 5 consecutive days)
- Placement of body into an alternative container (provided)
If you want to arrange a direct cremation, you can use an alternative container. Alternative containers encase the body and can be made of materials like fiberboard or composition materials (with or without an outside covering). The containers we provide are fiberboard. An alternative container provided by the purchaser must be one that can be closed, is leak-resistant, combustible, and must be acceptable by the crematory.

- Filing the Death Certificate and permit with the local health department registrar
- Prepare all state, federal, and crematory documents required for cremation

- Decedents of weight exceeding 300 lbs. will incur additional fees as set forth by the crematory due to limitations and restrictions on the cremation chamber, and the need for an alternative durable cremation container suitable for weight restrictions. Call for pricing.

Decedents can often be prepared for immediate family identification. The fee covers the cost associated with the preparation of the body and the use of the viewing facility at the crematorium.
