Some families choose to bury their loved ones in a cemetery. Entombment, which is the placement of the casketed body in an above-ground structure called a mausoleum, also takes place at a cemetery. When a casket is entombed, it is placed in an enclosure (called a crypt), and the front is usually sealed and faced with either marble or granite. These caskets are sold only to those contracting with Fond Remembrance Cremation Services for Immediate Burial, but can be purchased independently for shipment to any California licensed funeral home. Check with Fond Remembrance Cremation Services before selecting a vault so that acceptance at the place of burial is verified.
